Birgit Stahlhut passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. Birgit was born in Germany to Friedel and Elfriede Stahlhut on May 11, 1953. She resided in Santa Fe since 2002. Birgit dedicated her life to caring for the elderly and her family. She showed great love and compassion to everybody who crossed her path. She is survived by her daughter Julie Miera, Son-in-law Damian Miera, grandson’s Tyler Crabtree and Melano Miera, Step father Melvin Lewis, sisters, Karin Vallo husband Henry , Christiana Ford and husband Lucky , Conny Stahlhut, and Andrea Stahlhut, brothers Klaus Stahlhut and Mike Lewis. She also has many nieces and nephews in New Mexico and cousins in Germany. Memorial Services will be on Friday, October 20th at 11 A.M. at Avista, 2500 Camino Entrada Suite A, Santa Fe, NM 87507. A reception will follow at the Nancy Rodriguez Community Center.
