Bill Dean Henthorn
Bill D. Henthorn was born on October 22, 1952 in Enid, Oklahoma to Vertis (Chick) and Eva Mae Henthorn and passed from this life on November 10, 2019 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1970. He then went on to attend and receive a diploma from Oklahoma State Tech in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Bill worked in the air conditioning, heating and refrigeration business for many years. He was co-owner of AirPro, Inc. in Albuquerque, New Mexico which was started in 1986. He believed in being honest and hardworking not only in his business, but also in his day to day life. Bill was a tough man whose generosity knew no bounds. Bill was a man with a funny sense of humor and he could tell a story that would make you laugh out loud and loved to text memes to his friends and family. Bill loved outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, spending time at the lake, motocross racing, and snowmobiling. One of Bill’s greatest joys in life was being a grandpa. He loved his grandchildren to the moon and back. He was a great man and a loving father.
Bill battled lung cancer for over three years with the most outstanding and bravest of attitudes. He always said, “Sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes the bear eats you.” We know that through this time Bill worked hard to maintain his relationships with family and friends who were dear to him and let them know how much he loved them. Cancer may have been the cause of his death, but we know that cancer did not win this battle. Bill is now thumbing his nose at cancer as he is in the Kingdom of God whole and healthy again.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents Vertis and Eva, his two brothers Verlin Henthorn and Dennis Henthorn.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Angie Myers and husband, Kevin; his son KC Ray Henthorn; grandchildren, Sydney and Tyce Myers; sister Lana Weaver; brother Rick Henthorn as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Bill’s best buddies Joe Wilson and Gary York for helping to take such great care of him these past few weeks as well as for the friendship you provided him with for many years.
Per Bill’s request, there will be no service. His preference would be that you carry on in life with the same spirit he had of fun and generosity. In lieu of flowers, we would ask that you donate to a charity of your choice in Bill’s name.
