Billie Faye Espinosa of Commerce City, CO (70) left us on 2/22/22 . She was a loving wife to Frank Richard Espinosa 53 years. A strong, stubborn mother of 4, Frank (Carol,) Adam(Michelle,) Ben (Carrie) and Lisa Espinosa. A compassionate, creative and caring grandmother to a whole lot of grandkids; Audrey, Sara, Anthony, Allie, Alec, Angel, Brayden, Rain, Daniel, Violet and Gannon. Great grandmother to Decymus, Ava, Isaias, Aspen and Elora.
Each of us hold memories of “Grandma Billie,” some of the same stories with different perspective. We learned so many life lessons. Countless kitchen lessons, like making sure the mixer is off, it’s ok to eat raw cookie dough or cake batter every once in a while. Christmas cookies are magical, and the importance of Holiday traditions.
We learned life lessons on how to be good people. To take care of each other, to share, to love, to cry, to laugh and to protect everyone’s kids like they are our own, “cause that’s what family does.” She taught us when to keep our mouths shut and when to speak up. These are lessons that will lead us the rest of our lives, keeping her memory in our hearts and with these memories she will never be forgotten. From racing cars and riding mini bikes, to French fry taste testing. Field trips with the kids and mud pies. There was never a dull moment. Every moment was cherished and lived to the fullest.
We obeyed her every wish until the very end as hard as it was, including no services or memorials be held. We will cherish every memory and miss her like crazy. Feel free to honor her memory by hugging your family tight and offering silent prayers.
Thank you.
Mom, watch us be fantastic.
