Beverly Taylor

Beverly Lacy Taylor grew up in Denver and attended Wheaton College (Mass) where she obtained her B.A. degree majoring in art and music. She continued her studies at Denver University specializing in art, art education and theater research. In 1952 she instructed in art at the Denver Art Museum. In 1956 she moved to Santa Fe, NM and continued her research in Renaissance stringed instruments, and opened a studio where she repaired and built stringed instruments while teaching classical guitar.  In 1967 she married fellow artist Arthur D. Taylor. Beverly had a life long interest in the care of animals, raising several dogs, supporting rehabilitation centers for horses and even volunteering to feed prairie dogs while their habitat was being reconstructed.

Beverly is survived by her nieces and nephews and step-daughter and their children.. A memorial celebration of her life will be held sometime this summer at a time to be announced.
