Beverely Miller

Beverely L. Miller was born on June 26, 1956 in Omaha Nebraska to Orr and Mary Patterson. She went home to the Lord while surrounded by loved ones in her home in Lakewood Colorado following a lengthy illness on 8/21/2020. She was in the Hospice program at the time.
In 1969 she relocated with her family to Denver, Colorado where she resided for the remainder of her life.
Bev graduated from Northglenn High School in1974 and later enrolled at the Metropolitan State College to pursue an education in Criminal Justice.
She left school before completing her degree and married in 1978. She had 2 children, Jessica and Mark, who were her life. She became a stay at home Mom so she could enjoy raising them. Bev loved being a stay-at-home mom and did so until the children were old enough for her to go back to work. At that time she returned to work as a para professional at the childrens school.
Later in life, having regretted not completing college she decided to continue her education and enrolled at The Colorado Christian University. Her career goals changed on May 5th 2001 when she graduated With a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems Management. She then went to work for century link as a Systems Analyst in 2005 where she worked until her health became an issue and she had to retire on disability in 2015.
At the age of 16 Bev was saved, and gave her life to God. She lived her life by the word of God until the time of her passing. She spent her life serving her children, family, the community and the Lord.
Bev shared her faith by being deeply involved in the church and the womens ministries. At one time she worked through the ministry with women in prison.
Bev is survived by her daughter Jessica L. Miller-Newell [Jacob Newell]; son Mark E Miller [Vanessa Miller] grandsons Zachariah Miller and Isaac Miller; sister Cheri Finley [Mike Finley]; father Orr E Patterson [Nancy Patterson] in addition to cousins and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Mary E. Nelson.
A memorial party celebrating her life will be held on Thursday September 3, 2020 at 2:00pm at Freedom in the Word Church [formerly Bethel] located at 9785 W. 9th Ave, Lakewood Co 80215.
At the end of the service the celebration will continue with a reception at 2669 S Zephyr Ct, Lakewood Co. All are welcome to celebrate with food, drink, and sharing stories. As an bonus there will be plenty of chocolate per Bev’s wishes.
