Betty Wise

Mrs. Betty Nola (Barger) Wise, age 90, died in Parker, Colorado on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Betty was born November 7, 1927 in Greeley, Colorado. She married Vincil Wayne Wise, June 8, 1947 in Ft. Morgan, Colorado. She spent her life in Colorado, Sun City, Arizona and returned to Colorado in 2015.

Betty worked as a bookkeeper and stay at home mom until she and Vincil purchased their Auto Dealership in Salida, Colorado. After retiring at age 50, in 1977, they traveled for several years and then settled in Sun City. She enjoyed dancing at Paradise functions, volunteering at the Pancake Breakfasts, and discovered she was an artist and enjoyed Oil Painting. Betty enjoyed being a Red Hats Society member. After Vincil passed in 2012, Betty moved to Castle Rock, Colorado to be near her family.

Family includes her Daughter, Annette McCulley and her husband Ron of Castle Rock, Colorado and her son Rick Wise (deceased January, 2018). She had four grandchildren, Michael McCulley (deceased 1983), Rebecca Fontana and her husband Frank , Richelle McCulley and Murphy Wise (deceased 2017), and was blessed with a honorary daughter, Linda Will. She had two great-grandchildren, Bentley and Shelby Fontana. She is also survived by her sister Beverly Wolf and her husband Wil, sister-in-laws Delores Barger and Velura Helm and her brother-in-law Arland Wise. Betty's brothers Russel Barger and Rodney Barger preceded her in death.

Betty enjoyed a strong Baptist faith throughout her life. She will be missed by her family and many friends. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Betty's name may be made to the Denver Dumb Friends League, 2080 S. Quebec St, Denver, CO 80231.

Services will be held at Fort Morgan Cemetery, 601 West 8th Avenue, Fort Morgan, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty's name to the Denver Dumb Friends League, 2080 S. Quebec St., Denver, CO 80231
