Bennett Drew Borger was born on March 11, 1941 to Elmer and Julia Borger in Denver, Colorado. He was the younger of one brother, David Borger.
He graduated from Denver Christian High School in 1959. After graduation, he started working for Samsonite Corporation as an apprentice tool and die maker. He worked at various jobs in the tooling field for 42 years at Samsonite before retirement in 2001. He worked at a part time job after that for 10 years.
He met and married Marilyn Visscher and was blessed and thankful to participate in raising his family of three children, Jill, Jeff, and Jeremy. He was a strong pillar of his home, and his faith never wavered. He enjoyed his grandchildren, which were the light of his life. He served as a Cadet Counselor for boys and had the privilege to serve as a Deacon an Elder in several churches.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, parents Elmer and Julia, and his brother David. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Marilyn Borger.
Bennett and Marilyn shared 57 years of marriage and enjoyed many vacations together including camping and seeing the beautiful fall colors of Colorado!
