Benina Davis

"We wish to inform you that beloved wife and mother Mrs. Benina (Betty) Davis, born in Walsenburg Colorado on January 9, 1937 passed peacefully at her home of 46 years in Denver Colorado on January 11, 2016. She succumbed to a short battle with very aggressive lung cancer.

Benina, daughter of Jim Gonzales and Eduvigen Alarid was preceded in death by her beloved husband Donald Ray Davis and Sister Margie Duran. She is survived by her brothers Joe and Roy Gonzales, Half-Sister Pauline Martini, Son Donald James Davis, Grand-daughters Charity Jaye Drummond and Harmony Jade Davis, Great-Grandsons Colin Milligan, Patrick Homen and Andrew Drummond, born, January 17th.

Please do not send flowers or gifts, instead she would appreciate a donation in her honor to the American Cancer Society to advance cures for all types of cancers.

Per her wish to accommodate family and friends in planning and travel she wants us to wait until springtime to conduct the memorial service which will be held April 16, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Horan & Mc Conaty, 3020 Federal BLVD, Denver Colorado. An after service gathering with food and refreshment is being planned.

The reception will be at the Son's of Italy Dance Hall, 5925 W. 32nd Ave., Wheat Ridge, CO 80212, from 2 to 4 PM Food and refreshments will be served.

Her ashes will be interred with her late beloved husband at Fort Logan National Cemetery at a closed service for immediate family only on Monday April, 18th."
