Long-time Evergreen resident, Barry McClung, ultimately succumbed to a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Lori Fortier, his two children Ryan and Kelsey McClung, his mother, Camilla McClung, and brothers, Robert and Steven McClung.
Barry was a soft-spoken, gentle man with an immense love of family and friends, a deep connection with nature and a penchant for travel. In truth, being a parent brought him his greatest joy in life. He had an infectious laugh and a mischievous spirit. He was an avid outdoorsman, pursuing favorite pastimes, which included: fishing, backpacking, bicycling, photography, golf and tele-mark skiing.
When he wasn't with his family, Barry was employed as a Senior Designer/Construction Manager with Bowman Vision Land, a Bowman Consulting Company, Golden, CO. He was a Quality Control Specialist with Denver Transit Construction Group (Herzog International) while working on the RTD Light Rail West Line project. (The family would like to thank these companies for their gracious support.)
A Celebration of Life service is to be held on Saturday, April 2nd, at 11:00 a.m. at The Barn @ Evergreen Memorial Park, 26624 N. Turkey Creek Rd., Evergreen, CO 80439
Barry was embraced by the love and care of the professionals of Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice over the last six to eight months. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests a memorial contribution be made in his name to the agency: www.mountevans.org or
(303) 674-6400.
