Our mom, Barbara Arlene (Rodstrom) Whitmore exuded love and kindness every moment of her life, but there was so much more to who she was.
She was able to make you feel accepted for who you were. She was supportive, without judgement. She was incredibly smart, yet ever humble. She was always open to learn and try new things. She was able to see, although others may be different than her, they needed to be respected. She was incredibly organized. She made us, and others around her, better.
Mom passed December 14, 2019. Gatherings will be held at a later time, when it is safe for us to be together. She was predeceased by her parents; her wonderful husband, Jim; a son, Alfred; and two brothers, Don and Larry. She is survived by her son, Ted (Leisel) Whitmore; daughter, Carmen (John) Spond; grandsons Jackson (Jessie) Spond, Jason Spond and Evan Spond; great grandson Jonah Spond; brother Chuck Rodstrom; sister-in-laws Kathy Rodstrom and Joanne Rodstrom; several treasured nieces, nephews and cousins; and too many special friends to even begin to list. She loved each and every one of you.
Although we wish we would have had many more years with her, we are more thankful than we can ever express that we had her in our lives for as long as we did. She will live on in our hearts for as long as we live, and we will continue sharing her life story for as long as we are able.
