Barbara Thompson

Barbara Bentley Thompson passed away Jan. 14th, 2021 at the age of 83. She was born March 16t h, 1937 to Clyde Marion Bentley and Virginia Whitenack Bentley. Barbara was raised in Pasadena, CA, attended St. Olaf College in MN, and spent her adult life in MN and CO.

Barbara loved a good cup of coffee and talking with friends near and far, young and old. She was a great storyteller and always interested in hearing what was going on in everyone’s life around her. Despite various setbacks throughout her life, she Just. Kept. Going.

She took pride in her role as mother and “Granny” and will be dearly missed by her children Kim Thompson, Eric (Jane) Thompson, Holly (Patrick) Koehn, grandchildren Judson Meininger, Molly Breitbach, Connor (Katie) Breitbach, Ben (Jessica) Thompson, Will Thompson, Anna Koehn, Lindsay Koehn, Evan (Alex) Koehn, and great grandsons Tennessee and Ryder Meininger. She is also survived by sister Ariel Bentley, three nieces and many cousins.

We will share stories and celebrate her life at a small family gathering at a later date.
