A man among men, he was always inventing new things. He loved tinkering in his shop working on one thing or another.
He could solve any problem or figure out a way to fix whatever you gave him.
He loved treasure hunting and traveling all over Colorado with his metal detector looking for legendary treasures, and even built his own machines.
He served in the military during the Korean Conflict and loved to talk about his days in the 120th Mountain Division Ski Patrol at Camp Hale. He had many stories about how he outwitted the officers in charge and got away with doing things you would not believe…
He loved his family history. He was floored to find out that his real family name was not Roses but Lobato, but that's a story for another day…
He was intrigued by the many characters and places of the wild wild west that found their way into his family.
Places like Trinidad CO, Las Vegas, NM Boggsville CO, Bents Fort in Colorado, Sand Creek Massacre in Colorado.
Doc Holiday, Bat Masterson, Chief Red Clouds sister Royal Red, Kit Carson the infamous Geronimo and Chief Victorio and his sister Lozen were all intertwined in the colorful tapestry that made up his family.
Lozen was infamous for keeping the United States Calvary on the run chasing Geronimo for 15 years.
His Grandmother was an American Indian born at Bent Canyon, Colorado in 1882 and at that time was a stagecoach stop and there are many stories about her.
There were also Bullfighters, Aztec's and Apache Indians.
He was always asking if there was anything new about his family history and what new document was there for him to read.
He worked very hard to live a good life.
He loved his God Jehovah and awaits the day for the divine promise.
"And he shall wipe every tear from their eyes and death shall be no more neither mourning nor outcry will be anymore the former things have passed away" Rev. 21:4
