Arnold Velasquez

Arnold Velasquez, 57, loving family man passed away peacefully on March 16, 2017.  Arnold was preceded in death by his mother, Carmen.  He is survived by Louise, his loving partner in life, and their precious goddaughter Serenity, his son Xavier (Monique), his cherished granddaughters, Aleena Marie and Aurelia Hope, his father Joe, his sisters, Yvonne (Felipe) and Lori, his brothers Steve (Renee) and Frank, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arnold was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church and a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Anne’s Council 15381.
Arnold had a warm and caring heart and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.  He would assemble members of the Knights of Columbus to do volunteer work for Habitat for Humanities and to assist parishioners of St. Anne’s with handyman jobs around their homes.  Arnold was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Arnold loved the annual family reunion held over the 4th of July weekend in Los Alamitos, New Mexico, and looked forward to gathering with all his family members.
A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Santa Fe.   A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Santa Fe.  A private family burial will take place on Saturday, April 1, 2017 in Holman, N.M.
