Anthony Saavedra

Gabriel our beloved son, brother and uncle was born on March 14, 1975 and went home to the Lord on Monday May 07, 2018 at the age of 43.

Gabriel is survived by his parents Robert and Louise Saavedra; Sisters Jennifer and husband Adrian, Ashley and husband Estevan; nieces Renee and Melissa; along with the newest addition to the family Estevan Noah, his first nephew.

Gabriel was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a devoted 49ers fan who enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping, hunting and attending ball games. He was a true outdoors man. Gabriel loved barbecuing for his family, and attending the Super Nationals Car Show each year as the family gathered for good food and nice cars. He was nicknamed “Spike” by his grandpa Chuck, because he always said Gabe was “tough as nails”. Gabriel was quite a character as a child. He would pretend he was a part of the show “Chips” and acted like the Fonze. He was a diehard Star Wars and Star Trek fan with quite a memorabilia collection. He was the Macho Man with his friends, but no doubt a momma’s boy.

Gabriel will be greatly missed. We give thanks to our Heavenly Father for his life and for the opportunity to have shared it. Now we hold fast to the hope of being reunited again in eternal glory through the power of Christ’s resurrection.
