Anthony (Tony) John Lucero (aka Batman), a genuine Colorado Native, was born in Denver, CO on 09/11/1967 to William and Irma (Akerfelds) Lucero III.
Tony was unburdened from ALS on 11/22/2018 at 12:02 p.m. in Englewood, CO. He was called to his Lord peacefully with David, Diane, Jordyn and his family at his side. Cremation to take place 11/29/2018.
Tony loved all facets of sports. Tony was an avid bowler, tennis player and poker player with his best friends. His most favorite teams were the Denver Broncos and the North Carolina Tar Heels with the CU Buffs a very close 2nd.
Tony is survived by his four year old Olde English Bulldog Spencer, who knew from day one that his papa needed special care and softer licks and hugs from him; his partner and confidant David C. Powell of Littleton, CO.; his daughter and light to his world Jordyn Marie Lucero; his ex-spouse and best friend Diane Marie Lucero both of Littleton, CO.; his parents William and Irma Lucero III, his Grandmother Helen Candelaria, three brothers Jesse Lucero, Steven Lucero and David Lucero. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. Not to mention the hundreds of lives Tony had touched with his very infectious and beautiful smile.
A special thank you to the staff at Englewood Post Acute and Rehabilitation. We had our ups and downs; however, the staff loved and cared for Tony as a family member and not that of a patient.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents John and Anna Akerfelds and William Lucero Jr. and several Aunts and Uncles.
