Anthony “Tony” Costanzo, 93, passed away peacefully at the Gardens at St. Elizabeth in Denver on November 27th. Tony was born in Queens, New York on January 21, 1928 to Pietro and Marianna (Marion) Costanzo. He was the second of six boys. Tony moved to Colorado in the 1940s where he met the love of his life: Joanne Floyd. He served two stints in the U.S. Army, first at the end of WWII and then again during the Korean Conflict. He married Joanne on May 7, 1955 and had three boys together. In January of 1973, Tony and his family moved to Grand Junction, where Tony and Joanne owned and operated the Horn O’Plenty Health Food Store in Grand Junction and the Nu-U Health Food Store in Delta for over 45 years. Tony is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Joanne, and his brother, Salvatore. He is survived by the following: his oldest son, Mark (Bernita) and his daughter, Evynne (Glenn); his middle son, Michael and his daughter, Hanna, and granddaughter, Lily; his youngest son, Mitchell (Lori) and his two daughters, Kristin and Stephanie (Darren), and his granddaughter, Anna. He is also survived by his younger brothers, Joseph, Eugene, Leonard and Richard. He will be interred with his wife, Joanne, at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
