Ann Herzfeld

Ann Therese Herzfeld lost her battle with cancer on September 1, 2018 at age 56. She passed away peacefully with family members at her side. Born to parents Robert Carl Herzfeld and Margaret Nicodem Herzfeld on May 9, 1962 in Elmhurst, IL, Ann is survived by her sons Jordon Pestalozzi (30) and Nicholas Pestalozzi (24) both residing in Santa Fe, as well as eight Herzfeld siblings - David, Thomas, Robert, Stephen, Jeffrey, Mark, Mary and Chris. Ann had a quick wit, charming smile and was a lover of the mountains, the American Southwest and contemporary music. She discovered her talents as a disc jockey at radio station KDUR while a student at Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO, and held positions at radio stations in Durango, Breckenridge and Vail, CO.  She married Martin “Tino” Pestalozzi in 1986 and they had their sons in 1988 and 1993. The family moved to Santa Fe in 1991 and Ann found another passion in healthcare. She worked for New Mexico Sports and Physical Therapy since 2003 as a PT Tech and then Administration. She met many people there and touched their lives, with her kindness and compassionate mannerisms. Her boys were her life and she was always there for them. She taught them well and she will continue to live on in them. “They are so much like their mother that I see Ann every time I see them.” Ann was the sweetest most caring lady ever. She was hopeful and she was a fighter. Ann is an angel now and where she is, there is no pain and no cancer. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held for Ann on Saturday the 15th at The Loretto at 7:30 P.M. Come Celebrate her life with her Family and Friends
