Ann Gilboy Feucht, of Grand Lake and Denver, Colorado passed away September 4th, surrounded by her family. Born in Rochester, New York, she was preceded in death by her husband James R. Feucht in 2013.
Ann earned her bachelor's degree in Home Economics from Syracuse University and her master's degree in Adult Education from Colorado State University. She moved to Colorado with her family in 1971. Ann's career as a CSU Extension Agent in Jefferson County brought her into contact with many people throughout the front-range. While at CSU, she was awarded a National award for developing the concept for the now widely-used after school day-care program.
After retiring, Ann and Jim traveled extensively and maintained their principal home in Grand Lake, where they built enduring friendships. Ann was a tireless volunteer, offering her time to the Kaufmann House, the Grand County Library Board, Habitat for Humanity, Rocky Mountain National Park, the Denver Symphony Guild and many other organizations that were close to her heart.
She is survived by her sister Mary G. Martin, children Betsy St. Denis, Molly St. Denis-Hamann (Paul), Tom St. Denis (Diana), Joe St. Denis (Audrey), and Amy St. Denis, step-children Debbie Adams, Lisa VanderHeyden (Jack), Alan Feucht (Liz), 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Ann was a loving sister, wife, mother and grandmother, and a beloved friend.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 11th, in Grand Lake. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a contribution in Ann's name to Mountain Family Center of Grand County or Habitat for Humanity of Grand County.
