Beloved wife, mom, and "Nana," Anita (Forcier) Beaudry, passed away peacefully on January 7 at the age of 88 in Northglenn, Colorado with her husband and family members by her side. Born in 1929, Anita grew up and lived in Rhode Island with her large family and there met Donald, her husband of 54 years. Although Anita and Donald moved to San Diego, California in the early-1970's to raise their family, she never lost her connections to her loving family and friends back east (or her Rhode Island accent!).
Throughout her life, Anita was always the life of the party and a person who brought joy to every occasion. Her infectious laugh, beaming smile, and wry sense of humor were matched only by her kindness and caring. She was "wicked smaht" and had a great love of games and puzzles along with a very competitive spirit. Family gatherings, game nights, and church events were filled with her laughter.
Anita's focus in life was her family. She provided steadfast support to Donald throughout his career and managed a busy household with seemingly boundless energy. She never missed a school event, game, or concert for her two sons and later took great joy in watching her grand kids grow up to be happy and successful adults. She was always in our corner, rooting us on to do our best and succeed at whatever we might tackle. She was a dear, lifelong friend to many and a blessing to anyone who was fortunate enough to know her.
Anita will be lovingly remembered by her husband Donald, two sons Jim (Amber) and Tom (Lisa), and five grandchildren -- Amanda, Ryan, Steven, Katie, and Sam.
A Memorial Service and celebration of Anita's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Calvary Bible Church, 615 Evans St, Erie, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, the family recommends that donations in Anita's memory be made to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org).
