Alexis Ann Marie Story

We are all here today to remember the life of Alexis Story.  All of us here today have most likely been touched in some way by her.  Alexis Ann Marie Story, age 20, passed away doing what she loved on July 22, 2024.

She was born at Littleton Hospital in Colorado on July 9, 2004.  Before her accident, she graduated from Respect Academy, while working two jobs.  At her daycare job, she adored the children and they also adored her.  She brought joy to each and every one of their lives.  On the weekends, she danced.

Alexis loved handing out with her Mom, Casey, cousins, and Grandpa Bill, going to the zoo, camping, and riding the quad.  She loved working in the garden with Grandma Pat, making pickled beets, making banana bread, and so much more.  Learned with Al how to use power tools and built a habitat out of an old cabinet for her hamster.  Just one of her unique pets; she also had a snake named Cornbread, and a spider she found, but her favorite pet was her dog Everest.  She loved spending time with family and friends, but really loved riding her street bike.

You can aways give without loving, but you can never love without giving.  Alexis was a giver; she gave us all love.  She never walked into a room without her presence lighting up that room, she made us laugh (sometimes till we cried).  Her laughter was contagious and even if you only knew her for a short while, you loved her.

Alexis is survived by her mom, Casey Bjorklund; her dad, Sylvester Story; brothers, Isaiah and Derek Story; and a sister Nalah Story; paternal grandparents, Lori Raymond and maternal grandparents, Bill Bjorklund and Patricia Bjorklund; and lots of uncles, aunts and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her Great-grandma and Great-grandpa Sand; Great-grandma and Great-grandpa Bjorklund; Grandpa Deon Story; Aunt Rhonda Briski; cousins, Elizabeth Maukstad, Haylie Samuelson and Melissa Gryglewicz.

A Celebration of Life was held to celebrate and to remember Alexis on September 15, 2024.
