Alexandra Johnson

Lexa Johnson of Englewood, Colorado died of pancreatic cancer on March 31st at the age of 67. Lexa was born to Terrie and Swede in Orange, NJ where her family lived before moving to Chatham, NJ. She attended the Washington Avenue School and later graduated from Kent Place School while living in Madison, NJ. Lexa earned her undergraduate degree from Manhattanville College and received a master's from Montclair State University. In her twenties, she was a free spirit who attended Woodstock and headed west to Taos, NM for new adventures before eventually moving to Colorado in 1993. Lexa worked as an environmental educator, solar energy specialist, mediator, and community leader. She was happiest skiing the "steeps," traveling the world and reveling in nature. Known for her sense of compassion, cheerfulness and a witty intellect, she was the center of her fortunate family.Lexa is survived by her husband, Dr. Michael Straight, sons Adam and Geoffrey, and three brothers, Evan, Craig and Randy.
