Alejandro Dominick Sanchez, age 37, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on April 30, 2017. Alex was born on March 13, 1980 in Lubbock, Texas and moved to Albuquerque, shortly after his birth. He graduated from Manzano High School in 1998 and was working as a Direct Care Staff for Providence Support Service.
Alex was a member of the New Beginnings Church where he loved to volunteer and serve God. He was an avid fan of many different sports teams during the years. One of his teams was the Chicago Bears but after many years he finally became a Dallas Cowboys fan. Some of his other favorite teams were the Chicago Cubs, Boston Celtics, Boston Bruins. He was a fan of the Albuquerque Isotopes but still loved the Albuquerque Dukes.
He is survived by his loving wife, Vivian Blea-Sanchez; his children, Skylar and Lukas Sanchez; his father, Randy Sanchez; his sister, Daniella and husband Richard Shryock; his mother-in-law, Dolores Rodriquez; sister-in-laws, Bernadette and husband Pete De Anda, Rebecca Blea and partner Megan; his brother-in-law, Paul and wife Marysol Blea; his grandmother, Dioly Garbagni; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and the mother of his children Victoria Valdez.
He is also survived by his biological mother, Alice Serna; sister Darlene Valdez; brothers Ruben Martinez, David and Christopher Jiminez of Lubbock, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his son Baby Alex; his mother, JoAnn Sanchez; father-in-law, Bernie Blea; grandparents Dora and Lazaro Zamora; grandfather Johnnie Garbagni.
Services will be held Friday, May 19th , at 5:30 pm at New Beginnings Church, 3601 Montgomery Blvd NE. Memorial donations may be made to the Alejandro Sanchez Memorial Fund at any Wells Fargo Branch.
