Alan Lund

After a lengthy illness, Al Lund passed away February 28, 2014 at 12:28am at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado. He attended Nashold grade school and graduated from Guilford High School. He moved from Rockford to Denver, Colorado several years ago. He enjoyed sports and developed a great love for white water rafting after moving to Colorado. He led many rafting trips with his friends. Alan was born in Rockford, Illinois, May 27, 1947 the son of Gladys and Arvid Lund. Alan was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Sherry. He is survived by his sisters, Joyce David Polaski of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Marilyn Duane Vaughan of Rockford, also nieces and nephews, Deborah Schirm of Colorado Springs, Greg Polaski of Story City, Iowa, Brian Polaski of Colorado Springs, Mike Polaski of St. John, Indiana, Brad Vaughan of Durham, North Carolina and Jodi Vaughan of Freeport, Illinois as well as several great nieces and nephews. Alan is also survived by his very special companion Kay Pudlik of Highlands Ranch, Colorado and her family. His body will be cremated. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, March 8, 2014, 1:00pm at Hope United Methodist Church, 5101 South Dayton St. in Greenwood Village, Colorado.
