Al Lopez, 58, born on November 22, 1954 in Denver Colorado passed away on December 15, 2012 at his home also in Denver Colorado after his fight with cancer. Al was born and raised in Colorado and an avid sports fan, he loved all Colorado sports teams especially his beloved Denver Broncos. There was not a Bronco game that he would miss, or nuggets game for that matter. Al, grew up in Colorado Springs where he meet numerous people and created great friendships that still remain today, he lived in Colorado Springs until joining the Air Force in 1974, at which time he moved to Washington state. In the Air Force he worked on B52's, which he enjoyed very much. After leaving the military he bounced between his beloved Colorado and the state of Washington that he also grew to love, working mainly in the steel and construction fields. Finally returning to Colorado for good he reunited with Irene Padilla, whom until the moment he died remained by his side, loving and caring for him. Al, liked the mountains and being outdoors as much as possible and he loved taking his best friend Vescodog everywhere with him, he also loved his many family members and going to any family gathering he could where he could be surrounded by family. Al is survived by his honey, Irene Padilla of Denver Colorado. Children, Nathan Karen Pena Lopez of Denver Colorado, Tonya Jose Archuleta Lopez of Broomfield Colorado, Gina Josh Madrid of Denver Colorado and Alicia Carlos Valles Padilla of Denver Colorado. Siblings, Monica Lynn Pigg of Bellingham Washington, Michael Carol Lopez of Grand Junction Colorado, Harry Bernadette Herman of Colorado Springs Colorado, DanielLora Herman of Colorado Springs & BarbSonny Lopez. Grandchildren, Angelique Archuleta, Kayla Quintana, Alyssa Archuleta & Elijah Lopez as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles & Cousins. Al is preceded in death by his parents Harry & Mary Herman, Brother Sonny Lopez & Grandson Matteo Madrid.
