After living a life paved with many locations, memories and experiences, Agnes (Grahek) Taylor passed away on Tuesday, January 12th 2016. Agnes ("Aggie") lived a life with an unwavering commitment to faith, humor, and compassion, while cultivating deep emotional connections with everyone she encountered. She was regularly brought to tears with laughter and again whenever people drove out of her sight. She always had a connection with people and those who were fortunate enough to have met Aggie over the years enjoyed her innate ability to relate to people of all walks of life and make them feel special. She wore her emotions on her sleeve and would regularly write passionate letters describing her steadfast support and love to those close to her. Aggie's sense of giving was unparalleled in this world and is certainly being rewarded in the next. Throughout her life, Aggie remained committed to doing it her way and the impact she leaves on her family and the thousands of people she touched does not fade with her passing, it remains in all of us and the memories that have shaped our lives. As reflected in the outpouring of support and stories the family has received from across the country, Aggie will be greatly missed, by a great many. While providing comfort to the family, those same notes of support and stories provide a wonderful reflection of her life and reminds us how her memory will live forever in not just her immediate family, but her family of friends and acquaintances across the country. Agnes Patricia Mesojedec (Grahek) Taylor, age 82, formerly of Soudan, Minneapolis, Hinckley, MN and most recently Parker, CO, peacefully entered heaven with her youngest daughter embracing her on Tuesday, January 12th, 2016. Aggie was born to Helena (Breznik) and Ludvig Mesojedec on 3-24-33. She was the youngest of 13 children. Aggie was married to Rudolph Grahek on 6-22-53. They had two children, Michael (Beth) Grahek of Mt. Iron, and Marjorie (Randall) Johnson of Tower, MN. On June 9th, 1971, Aggie married Roger Taylor and had one daughter, Elizabeth (Timothy) Haycraft of Parker, CO. Aggie has 7 grandchildren, Ashley (Justin) Morken of Fargo, ND, Adam Grahek of Minneapolis, Courtney (Casey) Aluni of Virginia, Whitney (Ryan) Cobby of Virginia, Carter, McKinley, and Channing of Parker, CO. She is also survived by three Great-Grandchildren, Aubri and Emmi Aluni, Harper Cobby and a Great Grandson, Baby Cobby to arrive in April, 2016. Aggie owned and operated numerous businesses throughout her life. First, while in Soudan, MN, Aggie owned and operated both the Friendly Tavern and a beauty salon. She then subsequently opened another beauty salon in Ely, MN. Upon moving to Minneapolis in the early 70's she owned and operated Aggie's Beauty Shop on Penn Avenue and ran a licensed daycare for 10 years. In the early 90's she owned and operated four Miracle-Ear Hearing Aid franchises in Minnesota and one in Scottsdale, AZ. She was passionate about selling hearing aids because it was a reflection on the thing she valued most in life, helping people. In fact, she was one of the first licensed hearing aid salesman in the State of Minnesota, and almost certainly the first woman. In retirement, Aggie continued her "never quit" attitude and remained busy into her 80's at "Pathfinder Village" in Hinckley, MN. Aggie is survived by husband Roger of 45 years, sisters, Pauline Wiirre of Buhl, Rose Passi of Miami Beach, FL, Helen Adkisson of Tower, and numerous nieces and nephews. Aggie is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ludvig, Joseph, Herman, Frank and Edward Mesojedec; an infant sister, Mary, and older sisters, Vida Popesh, Betty Spreitzer, and Gizella DeMasi. Throughout her life Aggie remained eternally grateful to her siblings for everything they did to raise her when the family lost their mother while Aggie was at the tender age of 4. A celebration of Aggie's life will be held this July at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tower with inurnment at the Lakeview Cemetery near her mother and father.
