Aaron Gorham

Aaron Nathaniel Gorham originally of Rapid City, South Dakota and currently of Centennial Colorado died early June 22, 2014 after a brief few months living with an aggressive cancer. Aaron is survived by his parents Enola and Robert Gorham and brothers John and Tyler; his step-father Patrick Smith; step-siblings Anastasia Smith, Peter Smith, Aaron Smith, Caroline Smith-Anderson and David Smith; nephews Ronan, August and Liam Gorham; step-grandfather Paul Smith; as well as many extended family members. An immediate memorial service is to be held Wednesday June 25, 2014, 1:00pm, at the Horan & McConaty chapel at 1091 South Colorado Blvd, Denver, CO 80246.
Aaron requested that the family observe the Lakota tradition of "spirit-keeper" whereby the immediate family performs daily remembrances of the deceased during the first year after his passing. At the end of the year, which is planned for June 21, 2015, a large gathering of all the circle of family and friends of the departed is held. Food is shared, memories discussed and belongings are given away. The spirit of the deceased is released and the ashes will be buried.
All Aaron's family and friends are invited to join us next summer in the Black Hills.
